I am a writer, a blogger, a photographer, and an influencer in ways I’m only beginning to understand.

When I started the first iteration of CoffeeJitters on LiveJournal back in 2001, I didn’t imagine anything like this. It never occurred to me that my little (then private) hobby blog could someday evolve into a source of income.

But it has.

So here we are.

Yes, I make an income from this blog. There are advertisements along the sidebar and in the footer of this blog that generate income.

There are affiliate links throughout the site. If a link goes to a specific product or service, it’s a pretty good bet that when writing the piece, I also looked into affiliate programs to see if I could get a little commission out of that link.

I am sometimes paid to write sponsored posts for an item or a service. In those cases, I make it very clear that I am being paid for writing those words. That said, I wont endorse something I don’t believe in. I’m not here to sell junk.

On occasion, manufacturers gift products to me in hopes that I will review it. I review many, but not all of these items, because they’re not all awesome, and I see no point in discussing something someone gave me as a gift if it’s not awesome. In the cases where I receive a free item and review it, I will disclose that. I started doing reviews in this blog long before I started receiving things for free. Many of the older reviews in this blog are for items I paid for with my own pennies.

Here’s the thing. I don’t want to sell you junk, and I don’t want this blog to just be a catalog of things that I’m hawking. I don’t want this blog to be full of negative reviews, either. So I wont review the things I don’t like. You come here to be entertained and inspired, and maybe learn something. That’s the point of this blog. If I can make a buck while doing that. Awesome.

If you have any questions or concerns about the content of this blog, or if you are interested in hiring me for a sponsored post, buying ad space, or sending me product to review, I can be reached at judy.haley@gmail.com.
