One of these things is a bad sign
Well, that’s a bad sign. And, no, this is not an old abandoned playground. This playground is used by children every day.

This bird found the perfect place to build her nest – complete with guardian angel.
I took this picture a few years ago. The piece I referred to as a guardian angel is one of the terracotta figures that adorn the front of the Suzzallo Library at the University of Washington. It is a stunning work of architecture.
The Reading Room inside the library is also worth a look. It’s one of my favorite places to take a quiet moment and goes by the nickname, the Harry Potter Room.

It’s easy to get jaded about the state of the world, and what humans are doing to it: pollution, war, greed, disregard… but there is so much more that’s good about our world.
Sometimes, we just need to step outside to refresh, and reset our perspectives.
Nature gives me hope
Kids give me hope
“seems to me, it ain’t the world that’s so bad, but what we’re doin’ to it”
~ Louis Armstrong
Love, Baby, Love… Yeah….
I hope you can take a moment and get outside to enjoy the beauty and magic.
Happy Earth Day
