I love dandelions.
They are such simple, earnest, friendly, happy flowers. I understand that people tend to despise the weed, but they warm my heart. They’re like children; they may make a mess of the yard, but really they just want to make you smile.
Besides, their greens are yummy.
These bear cubs thought so too. They were making quite a nice meal of Dandelions right alongside the highway. (We were a little east of Whitehorse, YT, here.)
Amazing. There I was expecting the usual suspect, kids blowing into dandelions. Did not see the bears coming!

I did actually think about putting pictures of my daughter trying to blow the seeds off the dandelion, but decided that was another post. I’m glad you enjoyed the bears.

yeah, these little guys were right on the side of the road, and I was taking pictures from inside the car. There was no way I was getting out of the car. They were completely content to just sit there and nibble on dandelions, though.

thank you. the bears were actually quite lazy. they’d look up at each other every once in a while, but for the most part, they were just enjoying their salads.
