It sounds easy, but many people have difficulty getting it to come out right if they are making anything other than that icky instant stuff.  The instructions include washing the rice, and that can’t be emphasized enough. Basmati rice has a wonderful delicate scent: washing the rice releases that scent, and removes all that extra starch that masks the flavor, as well.
