Defiance Zoo and Aquarium"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.ohwy.com\/wa\/2\/pointdza.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0px 10px 10px 0px; float: left; width: 400px;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.ohwy.com\/wa\/2\/pointdza.jpg?w=1080\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We spent today at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pdza.org\/\">zoo<\/a> &#8211; the weather was psychotic alternating between sun, wind and torrential downpours &#8211; which actually made for a good day because the zoo wasn&#8217;t crowded at all. Because of the rain, we spent most of our time in the aquariums &#8211; but that was ok, we had a blast.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/7188\/1488\/1600\/zoo_walrus.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/photos1.blogger.com\/blogger\/7188\/1488\/400\/zoo_walrus.jpg?w=1080\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The two standouts of the day were the sharks &#8211; too cool to have those guys at eye level &#8211; and the belugas who were much more playful than I had expected. I also enjoyed the big old walrus &#8211; Up close he was so much bigger than I imagined &#8211; bigger than they seemed when viewing them from a ship.<\/p>\n<p>I cant wait for the next visit from Max and Ilona, we will definitely have to bring them here.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We spent today at the zoo &#8211; the weather was psychotic alternating between sun, wind and torrential downpours &#8211; which actually made for a good day because the zoo wasn&#8217;t crowded at all.
