I always thought our country was founded on religous freedoms… which you would think might include tolerance of other beliefs, not claims of oppression!

World wide, Christians are in the minority. This image is commenting about the Christians in the US who, over the past couple of weeks (led by Mike Huckabee), have been claiming that the acknowledgment of other beliefs by state capitals are oppressing the rights of Christians.

I guess the problem is when people are offended by others’ celebrations. We celebrate Hanukkah and Christmas, but I don’t know much about Ramadan, Kwanzaa, or others. I don’t see how other celebrations diminish my own. . . ?? Just don’t get it.

If you don’t know a person, it’s hard to know what they celebrate. I wouldn’t say “Merry Christmas” to someone if I knew they didn’t celebrate it, but if I don’t know. . . I’m not trying to be rude or insensitive.
